Well planned

November 20 2013 – thisisknit

We've found the perfect casual polo-neck jumper! It's cosy and quick to knit in soothing stocking stitch, and it comes with a gorgeous striped option. It's the Sublime Stripe on Stripe sweater from Sublime Book 670 (along with a whopping twenty four other patterns), and the smallest size takes just ten balls of Sublime Luxurious Aran Tweed. The yarn's a delicious mixture of wool, cotton and llama. But what really impresses us about this range is the way that the colourways are designed to work together. The striping on this jumper highlights this so well - the tweedy flecks from one colourway echo the neighbouring one in the most well thought out way. Of course, you could make this jumper in a single colour or with just two, but the four in our model work awfully well. And now we can't stop thinking of other things to stripe with this lovely tweed yarn. Simple and effective scarves and hats, for starters, and they'd make a quick gift option too! There's lots more ideas in the pattern book too!
