Birds of a Feather Vlog with Jacqui

Do you have a favourite summer shawl? In today’s vlog, Jacqui is sharing one of the This is Knit team’s favourites.

The Birds of a Feather shawl is designed by Andrea Mowry (aka Drea Renee Knits). You can find this pattern on Ravelry, or in Issue 2 of Laine magazine, where it was originally published.

This pattern starts at a single point, all the while growing and shifting from ethereal mohair to silky smooth single ply. The yarns used in our shop sample are Townhouse Yarns Fade St. 4 ply and Fine Fish Yarns Aura Lace for the mohair.

Have you made this shawl? Some of the pieces we have seen floating in and out of This is Knit are spectacular. We are always amazed at the colour combinations and how unique each shawl looks even if the same indie colourways are used due to their unique colour uptake on each base.
