BEGINNER KNITTING CLASSES

Every Saturday morning:

In addition to the classes offered below, we run a Project Help class every Saturday morning from 11am to 12pm. In these classes you get can help with any aspect of knitting at all, from beginner basics to design assistance. The class costs ten euro for the hour and must be booked in advance.

Class 1: Thurs May 5th at 18.00-19.30 Class 2: Thurs May 12th at 18.00-19.30 Class 3: Thurs May 19th at 18.00-19.30	Three Week Beginner Knitting Course

Class Description:	Our classes are taught in an informal environment by friendly and enthusiastic teachers. In this course you will learn to cast on, knit, purl, change yarn, cast off and weave in yarn ends. We will then introduce you to knitting in the round together with some simple increases and decreases.

Sat May 21st at 12.30-14.00	Knitting in the Round

Class Description:	This class introduces you to the use of circular needles, double pointed needles and the Magic Loop technique. With these methods you can knit entirely seamless garments and accessories - ultimately saving time and yarn too!

Or have you seen a pattern that you would just love to make but feel you are missing one or two key skills? Try our Project Help classes! Our aim is to get your project on track and to help you with all the techniques you need to see it through.

Thurs June 16th at 18.00-19.00	HOW TO: PICK UP STITCHES
Class Description:	Knitters often get frustrated with this technique but it is used so frequently in knitting patterns that it is well worth getting right. Do you end up picking up too many or too few stitches? Do your button bands flare or pucker? Are you left with gaps or lumps along a picked up edge? In just one hour we will demonstrate how to resolve any and all of the above!
